Butterfly valve manufacturer to share the valve pressure test method
Different valves have different methods of pressure testing, today my company to talk about the valve pressure test method.
Globe valve pressure test method
Globe valve strength test, usually put the assembled valve in the pressure test frame, open the valve, inject the medium to the specified value, check whether the valve body and valve cover sweating and leakage. Can also be a single piece of strength test. The sealing test is only done for globe valves. Test the valve stem of the globe valve into a vertical state, the valve is open, the medium from the bottom of the valve flap end of the introduction to the specified value, check the packing and gaskets; to be qualified to close the valve flap, open the other end to check whether there is leakage. If the valve strength and sealing test should be done, you can first do the strength test, and then depressurize to the sealing test value, check the packing and gaskets; and then close the valve flap, open the outlet end to check whether the sealing surface leakage.
2. Ball valve pressure test method
The strength test of the pneumatic ball valve should be conducted with the ball in a half-open position.
Floating ball valve sealing test: The valve is in a half-open state, with test media introduced at one end and closed at the other end; rotate the ball a few times, inspect the closed end for closure when the valve is closed, and check the sealing performance of the packing and gasket without any leakage. Introduce the test medium from the other end and repeat the above test.
② Fixed ball valve sealing test: Before the test, rotate the ball several times, close the fixed ball valve, introduce the test medium from one end to the specified value; check the sealing performance at the introduction end with a pressure gauge with an accuracy of 0.5 ~ 1 level, the test pressure range is 1.6 times. If there is no pressure drop phenomenon within the specified time, it is qualified; then introduce the test media from the other end and repeat the above test. Next, with the valve in a half-open state, close both ends, fill the inner cavity with media, and check the packing and gasket under the test pressure, ensuring no leakage.
Three-way ball valves should be in each position for sealing test.
3. 蝶阀压力试验方法 -> 3. Butterfly valve pressure test method
The strength test of pneumatic butterfly valve is the same as the globe valve. Butterfly valve sealing performance test should be introduced from the media flow end of the test medium, the butterfly should be opened, the other end closed, injected pressure to the specified value; check packing and other seals without leakage, close the butterfly, open the other end, check the butterfly sealing without leakage is qualified. Butterfly valve as a flow control may not do sealing performance test.
Result:
The strength test of a pneumatic butterfly valve is the same as that of a globe valve. The sealing performance test of a butterfly valve should be conducted from the flow end of the test medium, with the butterfly opened and the other end closed, pressure injected to the specified value; check for leakage in packing and other seals, close the butterfly, open the other end, and check that the butterfly sealing is without leakage to be qualified. A butterfly valve used for flow control may not undergo a sealing performance test.
4. 膜片阀压力试验方法 -> 4. Diaphragm valve pressure test method
Diaphragm valve strength test: Introduce media from one end, open the valve disc, close the other end, increase the test pressure to the specified value, check for leakage in the valve body and valve cover. If no leakage is found, it is considered qualified. Depressurize to the sealing test pressure, close the valve disc, open the other end for inspection, and if no leakage is detected, it is considered qualified.
Check valve pressure test method
Check valve test state: lift check valve valve flap axis is in a position perpendicular to the horizontal; rotary check valve channel axis and flap axis is in a position approximately parallel to the horizontal line.
Strength test, from the inlet end of the introduction of test media to the specified value, the other end is closed to see the valve body and valve cover without leakage is qualified.
