Double Flange Expansion Joint
The Double Flange Expansion Joint, also known as a double flange telescopic joint, slip-on expansion joint, or limit expansion joint, is a device designed to accommodate movement within pipelines. It includes a limiting device, which is enhanced based on the original slip-on expansion joint design, and is equipped with lock nuts to secure the expansion. This allows the pipeline to expand and contract freely within a permissible range. If the expansion exceeds the maximum allowable range, the joint restricts further movement, ensuring the safe operation of the pipeline. This is particularly useful for pipelines that are subject to vibration or have a slight inclination or curvature.
Product Applications:
The Double Flange Expansion Joint is suitable for use in various industries, including petroleum, chemical processing, metallurgy, shipbuilding, power plants, water supply and drainage, transportation, and exhaust pipelines.
Installation Overview:
The Double Flange Slip-on Expansion Joint is designed for flange connections on both sides. During installation, adjust the length between the product's ends and the pipeline or flange. Tighten the gland bolts diagonally and uniformly, then adjust the limit nuts to allow free expansion within the specified range, locking the expansion to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline.
Applicable Media:
This joint is suitable for transporting seawater, freshwater, hot and cold water, drinking water, domestic sewage, crude oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil, refined oil, air, gas, steam (up to 250°C), granular powder, and other similar media.
