Comparison of the performance of PTFE sheet and nylon sheet
PTFE sheet is made of PTFE as the main raw material, processed by adding special substances, with excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, sealing, high smoothness and non-stickiness, electrical insulation and outstanding anti-aging resistance. And nylon plate is the most important engineering plastics. Its wear resistance and tensile strength are better. 1, friction performance: nylon plate has good wear resistance, its coefficient of friction is usually 0.1-0.3, about 1/4 of the phenolic plastic. 1/3 of the pasteurized alloy, so it is a self-smooth material. And PTFE matting friction coefficient is very low, its deformation by force will be very serious.
2, corrosion resistance: nylon plate on chemicals whether weak alkali, alcohols, esters, copper, hydrocarbon grease are not affected. And PTFE board on most chemicals and solvents, showing inert, resistant to strong acids, strong bases, boiling in the king of water will not change the characteristics, in addition to molten metal sodium and liquid fluorine. It can be used as engineering plastics, and can be made into PTFE tubes, rods, belts, plates, films, etc.. Usually used in high functional demand for corrosion-resistant pipes, containers, pumps, valves and radar, high-frequency communication devices, radio devices.
3, temperature resistance: it can maintain a certain mechanical strength at -60 ℃, heat-resistant temperature of 80-100 ℃. Polytetrafluoroethylene can be in +250 ℃ to - 180 ℃ temperature for a long time.
Simply put, PTFE plate is better than nylon plate in terms of corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. The abrasion resistance of nylon sheet is better than PTFE sheet.
