Butterfly valve installation precautions
Installation environment: butterfly valve can be used indoors and outdoors, but in corrosive media and rusty occasions, the appropriate combination of materials should be used.
Equipment location: It must be installed in a place where it can be fully operated for easy maintenance, inspection and repair.
Surrounding environment: temperature -20℃~+70℃, humidity less than 90% RH. Before installation, the valve should be checked firstly according to the nameplate marking on the valve to see whether the valve meets the requirements of operating conditions. Note: Butterfly valves cannot resist high differential pressure. Do not allow the butterfly valve to open or continuously cycle under high pressure differential.
Before installation, remove dirt, oxides and other debris from the piping. During installation, note that the media flow should be consistent with the flow arrow marked on the valve body.
In the piping before and after piping, the flange connections should be parallel and lock the screws evenly. Note that the pneumatic butterfly valve should not be overloaded to produce a cylinder control valve. Please install appropriate brackets on the piping or valve body according to the size and weight of the cylinder control valve.
Maintenance Precautions
Daily inspection: Check for leakage, abnormal noise, vibration, etc.
Periodic inspection: Regularly check the valves and other system parts for leakage, corrosion, and stuttering, and perform maintenance, cleaning, dusting, and removal of residual stains, etc.
Disassembly inspection: Valves should be disassembled and maintained regularly. During disassembly and maintenance, parts should be re-cleaned, foreign matter, stains and rust spots removed, damaged or severe gaskets and packings replaced and corrected. Only after passage.
If fluid butt joints are found during inspection of pneumatic butterfly valves, do not touch or approach the cylinder control valve by hand until integrity is confirmed.
