Stainless steel butterfly valve is based on the formation of a thin and solid layer of stable chromium-rich oxide film (protective film) on its surface, preventing oxygen atoms from continuing to penetrate, continue to oxidize, and obtain the ability to resist corrosion. Once the film is damaged for some reason, oxygen atoms in the air or liquid will penetrate it, or iron atoms in the metal will separate out and form loose iron oxide, and the metal surface will continue to corrode.
