TianJin RunningDa Machinery Co., Ltd on preventive measures for water and vapor leakage.
How to prevent water leakage and vapor leakage, how to solve the problem after leakage?
If you want to know how to deal with the valve leakage and vapor leakage, first of all, you have to understand why there is leakage and vapor leakage, which is called to know the reason and the reason. In order to keep the valve airtight, it must have a good seal. If there is a problem with the seal, it will leak.
Valve as a control element in the fluid delivery system, with cut-off, regulation, shunt, anti-return, pressure stabilization, shunt or overflow, pressure relief and other functions, is an indispensable control element in many industrial and mining areas. Valve failure, especially leakage, will not only affect the stable operation of industrial and mining equipment, and even endanger the environment, causing incalculable economic and social losses to society. We must learn to recognize and prevent common valve leakage failure. Generally speaking, there are two kinds of common leakage faults of valves, namely, packing letter leakage and leakage of closing parts. Packing letter leakage is the main aspect of running, risking, dripping and leaking, which is often seen in factories.

1. All valves must undergo different levels of hydrostatic test after leaving the factory.
2. All valves must be equipped with the appropriate level of gaskets before installation.
3. During maintenance, carefully check whether the packing is added and whether the packing gland is tightened.
4. Before installation, the inside of the valve must be checked for dust, sand, iron oxide and other impurities. If any of these impurities are found, they must be cleaned up before installation.
5. Valves to be disassembled and repaired must be grounded.
6. During valve installation, all valves must be installed correctly according to the system and pressure, and arbitrary installation or mixing is strictly prohibited. Therefore, all valves must be numbered according to the system and recorded before installation.
7. When installing flange doors, fasteners must be tightened. When tightening flange bolts, they must be tightened symmetrically in sequence.
We can take effective measures to prevent these common failures. But it is more important to choose high quality and high standard products, which can save more time and energy in the industry and mining.
The sealing test should be carried out according to the actual working medium. When testing with air or water, test at 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the steam test should be conducted at the maximum allowable working pressure at the working temperature. The difference between the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure shall not be less than 0.2MPa, and the test method is as follows: after setting the inlet pressure, gradually adjust the adjustment screw of the valve so that the outlet pressure can be changed sensitively and continuously within the range of the maximum and minimum values without stagnation or blockage. For steam pressure reducing valve, when the inlet pressure transfer, close the valve, the outlet pressure for the maximum and minimum values. 2 minutes, the rise in outlet pressure should be in line with the provisions of Table 4.176-22, the pipeline volume after the valve in line with the provisions of Table 4.18 is qualified. For water and air pressure reducing valves, when the inlet pressure is set and the outlet pressure is zero, close the pressure reducing valve for tightness test, no leakage within 2 minutes is qualified.
Maintenance Methods:
In order to operate correctly, the valve should not be closed with excessive force, the valve should not be opened beyond the upper dead center, and the handwheel should be slightly reversed after the valve is fully opened.
The connection between the closing parts and the valve stem should be firm, and there should be a check piece at the threaded connection.
Fasteners used to connect the closing parts and the valve stem should be able to withstand the corrosion of the medium, and have a certain degree of mechanical strength and wear resistance.
