Rising Stem Gate Valve
Product Introduction: The gate has two sealing surfaces. In the most common type of gate valve, the two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape, with the wedge angle varying depending on the valve specifications. When the medium temperature is not high, the angle is usually 50°, or 2° 52'. The wedge gate can be made as a single piece, known as a rigid gate, or it can be designed with a slightly deformable head to improve manufacturability and compensate for deviations in the sealing surface angle during machining. This type of head is called an elastic head. Typically, the rising stem has a trapezoidal thread, which, through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide grooves on the valve body, converts rotational motion into linear motion, i.e., operating torque into operating thrust. When the valve is opened, and the gate's lift height equals 1:1 of the valve diameter, the fluid passage is fully open, although this position cannot be monitored during operation. In practice, the top point of the stem is used as a reference mark (i.e., the non-movable position) to indicate the fully open position. To account for the locking effect caused by temperature changes, the valve is typically fully opened and then turned back 1/2 to 1 turn to set the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the valve is determined by the gate's position (i.e., the stroke).
Product Features:
- Flat-bottom seat design prevents dirt accumulation, ensuring more reliable sealing.
- The valve disc is fully coated with nitrile rubber, and the internal components are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and copper alloy materials, making it suitable for sewage systems and harsh operating environments.
- Compact size, lightweight, and easy to install and maintain.
- The valve stem is sealed with three O-rings, significantly reducing friction resistance during operation, ensuring easy operation without leakage.
